Making your life easier in Thailand :-)

You don’t have to figure everything out on your own

I moved to Thailand from the UK in 2022 and have been calling it home ever since.

I know how daunting it can be to move to a new country (especially if you're doing it alone). When I first arrived in Thailand, there were so many things that I could have used a little help with.

From learning Thai to navigating visas and housing, I’ve created some resources so others like me won’t have to figure it out on their own.

Part 1Why Coming to Thailand Makes Sense

Between 2017 to 2022, I travelled to nearly 40 countries and regions and realised that it was time for me to pick a place and settle down. I originally intended to live in the Philippines, but my flight from the UK to the Philippines involved a layover in Bangkok. What was meant to be a layover turned into a month-long stay… and then 3 months… and then 6 months. And well, hey… I’m still here :-).

Part 2Why Coming to Thailand
Makes Sense

Thailand Bangkok China Town

The people

I’ve experienced firsthand how Thai people are super friendly and warm. Locals will gladly help with directions, share their stories, and even introduce others to the tastiest food spots.

Thailand Culture

Great value

The city caters to all sorts of lifestyles but imo, Bangkok is the best place to get the most value for your money, be it for food, accommodation, or services.

Accessibility for travellers

Thailand offers convenient access to other Asian destinations, often at very affordable prices as well.

Discovering authentic experiences in Thailand

As a content creator, I showcase snippets of life in Thailand, often featuring the wonderful and unique inhabitants of Bangkok.

My adventures have taken me to different neighbourhoods, helped me make friends from diverse backgrounds, and allowed me to experience aspects of Thailand that I wouldn't have encountered as just a tourist.

Wondering How I Made It Happen?

I’m still learning new things as I go along, but what has really helped is finding my rhythm in Thailand.

Learning Thai: Learning the language allowed me to connect with locals and Thai culture on a deeper level, which greatly enhanced the quality of my interactions and friendships.

Discovering communities: I’ve joined local activities and social/hobby groups that helped me connect with locals and fellow expats. It can get lonely if you’re by yourself :(

Building my life here: As I gained a better understanding of the nitty-gritty details regarding life here, I gradually settled into new daily routines and started seeing Thailand as my home.
